Asking for help
is a strength!

We are everyday people, doing extraordinary things! As independent volunteers, we come together to build a vibrant community for those impacted by brain injuries.

Brain injuries are like snowflakes,
No two are the same.

An Acquired Brain Injury is a life changing experience. No one will know your exact experiences. Not even someone with the same injury!

But we can help. The thousands of small changes in your life are experienced by others too. We have experienced strokes, aneurisms, accidents and more.

You don't have to see the whole staircase. Just take the first step.

Strong emotions are part of recovery from a life changing injury. Grief may be a constant companion. An awareness of what you have “lost”. Frustration. Anger. Resentment. Speak to someone who has travelled a similar path.

In 2017, I personally experienced a stroke that inspired me to create the Kings Park Warriors. With unwavering support from my wife, Julia, I received vital treatment after experiencing distressing symptoms. Grateful for my fortunate outcome, I felt a deep calling to provide support to fellow stroke survivors. Through organising weekly coffee meet-ups in Kings Park, Perth, the group has become a dynamic platform for fostering connections, sharing experiences, and nurturing strength and support among its members. Together, we stand resilient, united, and committed to making a positive impact on the journey of stroke recovery.
